Martin Scorsese, the master of gangland classics, comes to the Port Eliot Festival
The American film legend is curating the Paradiso Outdoor Cinema at this year’s Cornish cultural festival
Martin Scorsese, renowned film director, screenwriter, producer and actor, is curating the Paradiso Outdoor Cinema at this year's Port Eliot Festival (21-24 July). Amongst his selection of film classics is Jean Renoir's The River from 1951, starring Patricia Walters, Nora Swinburne and Esmond Knight.
Festival goers can relax under the stars in the breathtaking gardens or even in one of the specially designed Cadillac cars, to enjoy a series of double-bill film classics chosen by Scorsese. The River will be shown in a double-bill alongside another literary adaptation, Visconti's The Leopard (1963).
