Ron Arad's desire to experiment with new materials and technologies makes his furniture and architectural projects exciting and stimulating.  His retrospective at the Barbican includes bookshelves that consist of two huge wheels that move along a wall and which are aptly named Reinventing the Wheel; visitors are encouraged to interact with the objects on display, from playing a game on Arad’s personalised ping-pong table and sitting down in the infinity symbol-shaped Ripple Chair, or the famous Rover Chair - made from a salvaged car seat.
