Ingredients

24 medium leeks

1 quantity white sauce

Grated Gruyère cheese, for sprinkling


Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.

Prepare and cook the leeks whole and prepare the white sauce. Drain the leeks well and put in a large ovenproof dish, or several individual ovenproof dishes.

Coat with the sauce, sprinkle with the cheese and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
