A workshop with Hervé Tullet in Paris
Hervé Tullet's new board-book series 'Let's Play Games!' proves popular with Parisian school children
Stimulate young minds and little fingers with two painting and illustration workshops with artist and book-creator Hervé Tullet this weekend (9 - 10 July).
On Saturday, Tullet takes over the vast Turbine Hall at London's Tate Modern and takes families on a journey thorugh his illustrations. With a huge roll of paper stretching across the space this is a chance for children to collaborate and experiment with colour, shape and paint, directed by Tullet with a megaphone in hand. To sign up for either the morning or afternoon 90-minute workshop, register an hour before at the Tate (9 July).
If your children's creative juices are in full-flow you can drop in to Pop Up the following day (10 July). A festival for children and families designed to celebrate stories, Pop Up is also free to attend. Poet and former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen curates Sunday's art, poetry and music activities. Children can help Hervé Tullet create a giant canvas to illustrate Michael Rosen's space at The Brunwick at 12.30pm.
